Viana – The Legend of the Golden Hearts tells the love story of Princess Ana and Thomas, a humble craftsman who, to win her heart, creates a heart-shaped jewel made of delicate threads of gold, with the help of the people of Viana. A film that celebrates generosity, unity and the kindness of the Portuguese people, showing that when we come together, we can make the seemingly impossible possible.
Inspired by the art of Portuguese filigree, The World's Biggest Heart invites everyone in Portugal to take part in creating a giant Coração de Viana, made from thousands of cinema tickets and personal messages. Just as golden threads intertwine to create filigree, each ticket becomes a thread that, joined with all the others, brings this collective work of art to life.
On the road to a record
The goal is to achieve a Guinness World Records title and leave behind a lasting tribute in Viana do Castelo to the generous spirit of the Portuguese people and to what a country can achieve when it comes together for a common cause.

A Portuguese master jeweller who discovered his passion for working with precious stones and metals at the age of 17. Following four years of specialised training, he has dedicated himself to creating unique pieces that combine tradition, creativity and delicate craftsmanship. Inspired by the beauty of everyday life and the stories behind each jewel, he brings an artistic vision to Portuguese filigree, giving new life to this traditional craft through timeless designs.
